Refined Hi-Fi's

Overall, my user testing went pretty well. Most everything that I expected for my users to do, they did. The one thing that all my users did on the first round (lo-fi) was touch the shopping cart icon expecting for a screen to take them to the shopping cart. That was the one thing I completely forgot to design.

There are a few minor things that my users wanted to change/add/tweak during the hi-fi user testing, and I plan on implementing those to the design. How it will affect my project…? Their suggestions will only solidify my design that much more. They have valid points, but there is maybe one suggestion that I will probably nix, and that’s to allow for users to submit personal information on a separate screen before getting to the shipping and payment pages. I don’t find think that is necessary because personal information can be obtained from the shipping, registration, and/or billing addresses.

Looking at my materials, timeline and strategies, I am a little behind. The responsive website is on track…the only major thing left to do for the site is to create the welcome video that will be housed on the home page. However, that will be done later on whenever user-testing of the workshops happen (most likely in Thesis 3 or during my breaks). Also, create the other navigation pages as the time progresses.

I need to focus on what is due for this semester, but I feel like I am biting off more than I chew. I have a long list of everything that needs to be due at the end of this semester, and it’s overwhelming.

Week 13 

  • Website- Refine hi-fi designs

  • Welcome Video - ON HOLD

  • Figure out packaging ASAP; need to commit to packaging device; 

  • design and do rough mockup to see if it will work.

  • Uniform - update badges to include staff titles

  • Magazine - It was recommended that I begin designing this, but due to the amount of work that I have to complete in the next 2 weeks before end of semester, I am going to hold off on this. However, I will be trying to find and create wholistic content for the entire brand and rest of the collaterals.

  • Postcards - Refine based on feedback (3 postcards and 1 greeting card with envelope)

  • Eblast - Turn 1 postcard into e-mail format

Week 14

  • Website- Upload hi-fi into Invision

  • Refine all other deliverables as mentioned above

Week 15

  • Refine and submit all items.
